Network Marketing Coaching Advice from McKay Earl - How to Get Duplication in Your Business

One of the greatest challenges network marketers face is duplication. McKay Earl, creator of The 90-Day Marketer, is offers network marketing coaching advice on how to get your downline to duplicate your results. Whether you use traditional methods or new-school attraction marketing techniques, you will benefit from this advice.

McKay Earl advises that the #1 thing a successful distributor needs is training. That training should be comprehensive and focus on 4 key areas:

  1. Big Picture - an overview of how everything works and fits together
  2. Finding - how to find new customers and business partners using attraction marketing or other methods
  3. Selling - what to say to people once you find them
  4. Coaching - how to train your team

This last point is the key to duplication, and yet is often overlooked.

The question now is how to do the network marketing coaching, and who will do it? You, your company or some other option? Your company might only provide training in one method, such as warm market. While working warm market works for a small minority, it is not the best approach for most people. Many network marketers are now using attraction marketing techniques to attract people to them (rather than chase after them).

How to train your network marketing business builders? There are three approaches you can use:

  1. Sink or swim -- With this approach the training is a little here a little there, but there is no organized system.
  2. Do it yourself -- You might decide to develop your own training system. This is what McKay Earl did, and while it can be very rewarding, it is very time intensive. It also requires that you are knowledgeable in all areas of marketing.
  3. Use a system -- Using an existing network marketing training system is much faster and easier. It also makes your business more attractive because you have a system in place to help guide people.

If you decide to go with option #3, you will find that there are several training systems available. So what should you look for in a good network marketing training system?

  1. Flexibility -- The training should be suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced.
  2. Organization -- Step by step instructions are essential. This is so important yet often lacking in training systems. People want a plan they can easily follow.
  3. Areas of training -- Ideally, a training system should include all aspects of network marketing (big picture, finding, selling and coaching).
  4. Multiple training options -- What works for you doesn't work for everyone. A good training system should include different approaches.

Once you find a training system that you like, you can recommend it to your downline.  This will speed up duplication and leverage your time.

In addition to the time savings of using a training system, it can be extremely helpful to learn from an outside perspective. When you get immersed in your own company's approach, you lose out on all the other approaches that might be a better fit for you. Learn how you can succeed with attraction marketing, using a step-by-step training system and support.
